From January to march 27th more than 500 Blue Marlins have been released in Marina Casa de Campos Fishing Season. Just in March 443 Blue Marlin have been released with an average of 16 releases per day.

Around 33  international fishing vessels are taking part in this year’s fishing season at Marina Casa de Campo and more are arriving to extend the fishing season until June.

This year we have the presence of the traditional Fa-La-Me, Blue Heaven, Betsy, Ambush, Chasin’ Tail, Shoe. New boats experienced a lot of action this season such as Whoo Dat, Committed, Hey Girl, Hook N’ Bull, Dream Time, Reel Passion, Black Gold, Bangarang, Deguello, Skin  Deep, Jaruco, Thunder, amongst others.

This season Marina has the honour to count with the presence of captains and anglers of international prestige among which are Frank Rodriguez, Ed Thompson, Rich Barret, Rob Moore, Neil Orange, Tim Popfinger, Miguel Tirado, Devin Silas, Tim Richardson, Keith Bokenhagen, and Mike Brauser.

The boats fishing this season have had moments of a lot of action in the high seas getting to release up to 9 billfish and seeing 17 in just one day of fishing as was the case for Doña Lucy on the 15th of March of this year.

Bangarang had an exciting day one the 12th of March releasing 5-8 Blue Marlins and a day before Reel Passion released 6-9 and repeating the releases (6-11) the 22nd of March during the first day of the Casa de Campo International Blue Marlin Classic Tournament. That same day Hook N’ Bull released 6-7. Others that have ensured their pass into the 6+ Club are Betsy (6-8) on March 14th and Black Gold (6-12) on the 18th of the same month.

Chasin Tail got in on March 27th with 7-8 releases, they continued to fish the following days with 1-3, 6-8 and finally 8-9 releases on March 29th.

Fa-La-Me enjoy March madness adding 6-8 on the 22nd of March and 6-6 on the 23rd numbers that gave them the win on the first edition of Casa de Campo International Blue Marlin Classic Tournament. But they didn’t stop there, on the 25th they released 6-10 and to finish off March they released 8-14 on the 26th. Fa-La-Me closed the month of March with 50 Blue Marlin releases in 11 days of fishing.

But the March mayhem didn’t stop there; to close with a bang on the 31st Dream Time released 12-13 Blues and a White Marlin, closing the second month of the season with 491 releases for an average of 16 releases per day.

The average released per day is 10 Blue Marlins in the 53 days that have formally gone by since the start of the season including January (pre season).

Desde enero a la fecha más de 500 Marlins Azules han sido soltados  en la temporada de pesca de la Marina de Casa de Campo.

Alrededor de 33 lanchas de pesca internacionales están pescando en la temporada de pesca de La Marina y más siguen llegando para extender la temporada hasta Junio.

Este año la temporada cuenta con la presencia de las tradicionales Fa-La-Me, Blue Heaven, Betsy, Ambush, Chasin’ Tail,  Shoe. Nuevas lanchas experimentaron mucha acción en esta temporada, tales como Whoo Dat, Committed, Hey Girl, Hook N’ Bull, Dream Time, Reel Passion, Black Gold, Bangarang, Skin Deep, Deguello, Jaruco, Thunder, entre otras.

En esta temperada la marina tiene el honor de contar con la presencia de capitanes y pescadores internacionales de mucho prestigio, entre los cuales se encuentran Frank Rodriguez, Ed Thompson, Rich Barret, Rob Moore, Neil Orange, Tim Popfinger, Miguel Tirado, Devin Silas, Tim Richardson, Keith Bokenhagen y  Mike Brauser entre otros.

Las embarcaciones que están pescando en esta temporada han tenido momentos de mucha acción en alta mar llegando a soltar hasta 9 agujas y ver hasta 17 en un solo día de pesca, como fue el caso de la embarcación Doña Lucy el día 15 de Marzo.

Bangarang por su lado tuvo un excitante día el 12 de marzo soltando 5-8 Marlin Azules y un día antes Reel Passion solto 6-9 y repitiendo los soltados (6-11) el 22 de marzo durante el  primer día del torneo de pesca Casa de Campo Blue Marlin Classic. Ese mismo dia Hook N’ Bull sonto 6-7. Otros que se aseguraron un pase en el Club de 6+ Betsy (6-8) el 14 de Marzo y Black Gold (6-12) el 18 del mismo mes.

Chasin Tail llego el 27 de Marzo con 7-8 soltados, continuó pescando los días siguientes con 1-3, 6-8 y finalmente 8-9 soltados el 29 de marzo.

Fa-La-Me disfrutó de la locura de marzo anotándose 6-8 el 22 de marzo y 6-6 el 23, números les dieron como ganadores de la primera edición del torneo Casa de Campo Internacional Blue Marlin Classic. Pero no pararon, el 25 soltaron 6-10 y para culminar el 26 marzo soltaron 8-14. Fa-La-Me cerró el mes de Marzo con 50 Agujas azules soltadas en 11 días de pesca.

Pero la locura de marzo no acabó ahí, para cerrar con broche de oro el 31 Dream Time soltó 12-13 Marlin Azules y un Marlin Blanco, cerrando el segundo mes de la temporada con 491 liberados para un promedio de 16 soltados por día. Siendo esta la segunda vez que una embarcación suelta 12 agujas en un día de pesca.

El promedio de soltadas en los 53 días que van de temporada, incluyendo Enero (pre-temporada) es 10 Marlin Azules por día.
