Monday December 31st in Plaza Portofino, Rubby Perez will be appearing live for the traditional New Year’s concert in the Marina.
Rubby Perez is one of the most successful merengue artists, carrying with pride Dominican music to the most important international stages. He was recently awarded a star in the walk of fame in Celia Cruz park, in Union City, New Jersey.
The event is sponsored by Brugal Rum and is lined to start at 9:30PM, however the restaurants will be open before 9:30PM and will have ambient music with a DJ.
The singer of “Tu Vas a Volar”, “Volvere”, “Buscando Tus Besos”, “Dame Veneno” amongst other huge successes of the Dominican merengue will begin his concert at 11:45PM to receive the 2019 new year and will continue to play past midnight. The party will continue after Rubby Perez with a DJ to close the night.
The Plaza will receive an estimated one thousand people, and the overall expectations for this event are very high. Residents and visitors must make reservations for a table in one of the plaza restaurants to enjoy the end of the year party.
