About Agus:

Agus has a global perspective in fashion, traveling twice a year to the main fashion weeks (New York, London, Milan, and Paris) and the events surrounding them, capturing trends for La Nación, the prestigious Argentinian newspaper.

Currently, Agus is a professor at the International Fashion Academy (IFA) in Paris, for both master and bachelor level courses. She participates on the jury panel for the final collections of all design students. She has a passion for mentoring talent and aids graduates with their capstone projects. She is a public speaker and frequently travels to give seminars and workshops.

Earlier this year she founded “Learn While Exploring” an academic program based in Paris and acts as the Managing Director. This interactional course integrates learning about the luxury fashion industry while exploring the culture of the city.

Born in Buenos Aries in 1981, Agus holds dual citizenship in both Argentina and Italy. She received her degree in Accounting from UCA (Argentinian Catholic University) and worked as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche. When she was 22 years old, a severe car accident left her confined to a bed for two months and inspired a radical change of direction in her compass. As she could only move her hands, she began sewing and started her own apparel company. For two years, she developed and drove her namesake brand, until she decided to move to New York and make a career of her newfound passion.

She studied Fashion Design at Parsons The New School for Design and then went to graduate school and enrolled at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in the Global Fashion Management program (part in Paris at IFM, and part in Hong Kong at PolyU). During her years of residence in New York, she worked for brands and companies like Li & Fung, styled for fashion photographers and magazines like Elle, and was manager of the Groupe Seize sur Vingt store, until she returned to her country after receiving a job offer at Falabella, one of the most important department stores in Latin America.   She started working as Fashion and Design Coordinator, and then went on to become Trend Coordinator, both positions required being regularly informed of the last-minute updates locally and internationally, and involved frequent trips to New York and Europe.

She has shared her knowledge of design and business across the globe. She has taught at several prestigious fashion institutions such as FIT (New York), CEDIM (Mexico), Polimoda (Florence), Altos for Chavón (Dominican Republic), and Istituto Marangoni (Paris).

Agus personifies the ideal mix of two worlds with different languages. She stands out for her versatility, which places her at the center of a Venn diagram. She is perfectly fluent in the language of business and, at the same time, she expresses herself with the creativity of fashion. She is a sociable, friendly, curious, lively and has an entrepreneurial spirit. She enjoys yoga, meditation and riding her bike around the city, as well as meeting people and traveling.
